Who we are
JCT Digital is the trading name of JCT Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 16449680. Our registered office is 43 Orthwaite, Huntingdon PE29 6UZ.
We decide how the personal information described here is used, which makes us its controller under UK data protection law. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email us at hello@jctdigital.co.uk.
What this policy covers
This policy explains what information we collect when you visit this website, contact us or work with us, why we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the rights you have.
The information we collect
When you use our contact form, we collect your name and email address, and anything else you choose to give us: your business name, phone number, the reason you are getting in touch, the package you are interested in, where your project is up to, your timeline and your message.
When you email or call us, we keep what you send us and our replies.
If you become a client, we also hold your contact and billing details, the content and files you share for your project, records of what we agreed, and invoices and payments.
When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device, to deliver the pages and keep the site secure. Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects our contact form from spam, processes similar technical information to tell people from automated bots. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics also collects information about how the site is used. Our Cookie policy has the details.
We do not need sensitive information, such as health details, to help you, so please do not include it in your messages.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
- Replying to your enquiry and preparing a quote: our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, or steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract.
- Planning, building and looking after your website: to carry out our contract with you.
- Sending invoices and keeping accounting records: to meet our legal obligations, including tax law.
- Keeping the website running, secure and free of spam: our legitimate interest in providing a safe, working site.
- Understanding how the site is used, with Google Analytics: your consent, which you give or refuse in the cookie banner and can change at any time.
We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or make decisions about you by automated means. We will only add you to a mailing list if you ask us to.
Who we share it with
We use a few trusted providers to run the business. They only use your information to provide their service to us:
- Webflow hosts this website, including its fonts, and receives the messages sent through the contact form.
- Cloudflare checks contact form messages for spam with its Turnstile service.
- Microsoft 365, provided through GoDaddy, handles our email, calendar and files.
- Stripe sends our invoices and processes payments, for clients.
- Google provides Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Our accountant, and HMRC or other authorities where the law requires it.
Some of these providers store or process information in the United States or elsewhere outside the UK. When that happens, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the International Data Transfer Addendum issued by the ICO.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 12 months after we last spoke, then deleted.
- Form messages held by Webflow: cleared regularly once they are in our email.
- Client records: for as long as we work together, then accounting records for six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as the law requires. Project files we no longer need are deleted.
- Analytics data: kept by Google Analytics for 2 months, then deleted automatically.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
- delete your information, or limit how we use it
- stop using it where we rely on our legitimate interests
- send it to you or another organisation in a usable format
Where we rely on your consent, such as for analytics cookies, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, email hello@jctdigital.co.uk. We will reply within one month. Some rights have limits; for example, we must keep accounting records for as long as the law says.
Keeping it safe
We use providers with strong security, protect our accounts with strong passwords and two-step sign-in, and only give access to client platforms through their own sharing tools rather than by asking for passwords.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if the way we handle information changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.

What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website saves in your browser. Websites can also save information in your browser’s storage. This policy covers both, and we call them all cookies for short.
Essential cookies
These make the site work as you would expect, so they do not need your consent.
- jct_cookie_consent (this site, browser storage, lasts 6 months): remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, so we do not ask again on every visit.
- jct-fluid-bg-start-time (this site, browser storage, lasts until you close the tab): keeps the moving background smooth as you move between pages.
Our contact form is also protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person, not a bot, is sending it. This is strictly necessary to keep the form free of spam.
Analytics cookies
These only run if you choose Accept in the cookie banner. They tell us how many people visit, which pages they view and how they found us, so we can improve the site. They do not tell us who you are.
- _ga (Google Analytics, lasts 2 years): tells visits apart, so we can count visitors.
- _ga_HQLEK0Q3H7 (Google Analytics, lasts 2 years): keeps track of a visit while it is happening.
Changing your choice
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings button at the end of this policy, which brings the banner back. If you decline after accepting, Google Analytics stops running on your next page view. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser’s settings; the site still works if you do.
More information
Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal information. If you have a question about cookies, email hello@jctdigital.co.uk.
